Your Opportunity

As a Credentialing and Provider Enrollment Specialist, your responsibilities include verifying licenses, education, and certifications, conducting primary source verifications, and managing re-credentialing files ensuring accuracy, adherence to deadlines and maintaining compliance with NCQA standards.

Communication is critical as you interact professionally with providers and liaisons to gather required information. Your role involves monitoring and updating expiring licenses and certifications, tracking enrollment details, and conducting audits for plan directories. In this fast-paced environment, you maintain confidentiality, resolve enrollment issues, and contribute to the seamless functioning of the credentialing process.

What you will do

  • Process initial applications and re-appointments for physicians and allied health professionals, maintaining team key performance metrics.

  • Enter and update provider data in credentialing systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Accurately and efficiently complete provider enrollment and re-credentialing applications for all insurance plans, delegated and non-delegated.

  • Professionally communicate with all providers and provider liaisons while requesting and obtaining information,

  • Monitor and update all expiring licensure, boards, and professional certifications

  • Research and resolve all provider enrollment issues.

  • Complete Commercial and Medicaid audits as requested by insurance plans.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple completing deadlines

  • Maintains confidentiality of provider data.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

What will make you successful here

  • 2 years of administrative background in a healthcare setting.

  • 2 years of credentialing and re-credentialing experience.

  • Knowledge of CAQH, AMA, DEA, CMS, PECOS, OIG, ABMS, AOA, OPSED.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with providers, liaisons, and internal teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience using credentialing software platforms and databases.

  • Familiarity with commercial and government payors, including enrollment processes and requirements.

  • Solid working knowledge of NCQA regulations, standards, and credentialing requirements.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
