Shipping & Logistics Supervisor

The Shipping & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of WearLinq daily shipping/receiving, and inventory distribution operations for cardiac medical monitoring devices and related materials.

This role ensures orders are processed accurately and shipped on schedule while maintaining compliance with company policies, and FDA quality standards. As our customer needs grow, it is essential for this role to understand and anticipate changes needed to respond to the customer market requirements.

The supervisor leads a team of shipping personnel, coordinates workflow priorities, and communicates operational goals to ensure the department stays on schedule and meets service-level expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and operate at a high level for inventory control systems where they could impact the future systems of the company.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of inventory control, including stock levels, order fulfillment, and materials handling.
  • Utilize internal systems and processes to monitor and manage medical devices and related inventory and provide expediently to practices.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Manage for international shipping and collaborate with manufacturing groups. Build vendor partnerships not only for current needs, but in anticipation for future growth.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in inventory management operations.
  • Analyse inventory discrepancies and develop action plans to resolve issues.
  • Source and negotiate materials needs for the company
  • Train and lead team members on best practices in processing orders management.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven experience in inventory management or a related field is preferred.
  • Understanding of international shipping laws and regulations. This role will require shipping and receiving of materials from European & Asian suppliers
  • Familiarity with materials handling procedures and warehouse operations is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis; experience with AS400 systems is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Ability to operate in a physically demanding environment, alongside the team as needed.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role (50+ lbs)
