About SpringTide Rising

SpringTide Rising is a selective fellowship for exceptional early-career entrepreneurs, operators, investors, clinicians, and researchers who want to shape the future of healthcare. 

SpringTide Rising brings together a small cohort of exceptional people who want to understand and build what comes next in healthcare. Fellows will join a community centered on healthcare innovation with direct exposure to the founders, investors, operators, and policymakers shaping the industry.

The fellowship cohort runs from October 2026 through May 2027, and fellows graduate to our alumni cohort, which allows access to current cohort members and subsequent programming and community support.

The SpringTide Rising Experience

Throughout the fellowship, participants will have opportunities to:

• Join monthly healthcare symposiums featuring leading founders, executives, investors, researchers, and policymakers discussing the technologies, companies, and ideas changing healthcare

• Participate in biweekly State of Healthcare Innovation meetings where fellows and members of the SpringTide team surface emerging startups and technologies, debate investment themes, develop new ideas, and share perspectives on where healthcare is headed. The forum is a learning lab platform for fellows to pitch ideas, innovate, and brainstorm with emerging healthcare entrepreneurs, operators, and investors

• Build relationships with an exceptional peer cohort of individuals who will become the next generation of healthcare founders, operators, clinicians, researchers, and investors

• Become part of the broader SpringTide community, building relationships intended to extend beyond the fellowship itself

• Gain exposure to healthcare venture capital, including how investors identify emerging markets, evaluate companies and founders, develop investment theses, and think about building enduring companies

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for people with exceptional curiosity, ambition, and a genuine desire to improve healthcare. Applicants may include:

• Early-career operators, engineers, scientists, clinicians, researchers, and investors

• Aspiring or current entrepreneurs exploring new ideas in healthcare

• Graduate or undergraduate students across medicine, science, engineering, computer science, public policy, and other disciplines

• People outside traditional healthcare backgrounds who bring differentiated technical, scientific, or entrepreneurial perspectives to the industry

Prior healthcare or venture capital experience is not required. We care more about how you think, what you are curious about, and what you hope to build or contribute over the course of your career.

• Have the potential to become builders and leaders within healthcare over the course of their careers

Rising fellows are active participants in the SpringTide ecosystem. Fellows are expected to bring ideas to the table, surface emerging companies and technologies, develop perspectives on healthcare innovation, and challenge their peers' thinking. The fellowship is designed for people who want to develop their own point of view on the future of healthcare, not simply observe the people building it. 

Program Details

• Timing: October 2026 - May 2027

• Location: Virtual

• Application Deadline: October 2, 2026

• Commitment: Part-time and designed to accompany full-time work, undergraduate or graduate study, research, or entrepreneurial pursuits

• Programming: Biweekly State of Healthcare Innovation hour-long meetings, one-hour monthly symposiums, and additional opportunities to engage with the SpringTide ecosystem and team

• Alumni Cohort: Post-fellowship opportunity to engage with current and past Rising fellows and the SpringTide ecosystem
