The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for collection and preparation of samples for pre-clinical research.
Essential Key Responsibilities:
- Become proficient in the identification, retrieval, processing and data collection associated with archived biological samples for research that meet project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records and proper documentation of project activities associated with all assigned studies.
- Develop competency in properly de-identifing study samples and become knowledgeable in the appropriate transfer of study data in compliance with all federal regulations and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines.
- Gain and apply expertise in the interpretation and transcription of complex medical terminology associated with research biospecimen annotations.
- Adhere to all relevant protocols and guidelines for sample handling, storage, and shipping of biological samples
- Complete annual training programs within the required timeframe
- Maintain strictest confidentiality
- Comply with all state, federal, professional regulations as well as company and departmental rules, polices, and procedural manuals
- Adhere to HIPAA, Safety and OSHA Regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required, BA/BS science-related degree preferred
Experience:
- Experience working in laboratory or industry related fields
- Experience working in pathology laboratories desired
- Experience working in regulated environments with biological samples and processing
