The Referral Transcriptionist enters and authorizes patient results from referral laboratories into the company’s Apollo laboratory information system in an accurate and timely manner.

Location: Memphis, TN 38134

Days and Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Full Time Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

  • Enter and authorize patient results from Reference lab reports
  • Enter and update patient demographics information
  • Answer calls from clients and customers as needed
  • Call clients where there are questions regarding submitted orders
  • Assist clients/customers with testing availability for requests that are not located in our TCM
  • Manages the Pre-Pay and Prior Authorization Doctor Audit in Apollo which also includes maintaining the PPPA storage racks
  • Perform Referral Processor duties as needed
  • Investigate account correction forms completed by Referral Processors for accuracy and report out with the correct code
  • Practice strict adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

All you need, is:

  • High school degree or GED required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer data entry experience required
  • Minimum two-years previous experience in laboratory preferred
  • Must be able to past skills test
