LOCATION: Austin, TX

HOURS: 40/week

Position Summary:

The Reimbusement Analyst position is responsible for supporting the development of sophisticated financial data models to inform decision making for all Revenue Cycle Management activity. This position supports all other analytics needs for the Revenue Cycle Management department and provides analytical support utilizing Revenue Cycle Management and other data to other areas of the company. This position reports directly to the Revenue Analytics Supervisor

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Supervisor to design and automate data tools to inform all managed care decision making including but not limited to:
    • Contract analysis models
    • Out of Network financial evaluation tools including examination of high and low paying patients and paid claims compared to booked revenue
    • Expansive data tools examining large national health plan payors and other targeted health plan payors; includes impact of contracting, the impact of reimbursement opportunities and financial impact
  • Provides analytical support to the Financial Business Intelligence (FBI) leadership team
  • Supports market pull-through and other post contracting activities
  • Develops and queries databases to utilize in data analytics
  • Provides support to other areas of the company where Revenue Cycle Management financial data expertise is required, including
    • Finance
    • Corporate Revenue Cycle Management Team
    • Business Development
    • Operations / Presidents and CEO

All you need is:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree in finance, accounting, computer science, math, decision sciences, business or another analytical disciplines strongly preferred
  • Two plus (2+) years’ billing experience preferable within Clinical / Pathology Practices and Laboratories, at a minimal CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 experience
  • Two Plus (1+) years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence or sales operations.
  • Two plus (2+) years of experience with a health plan or provider data modeling and decision support strongly preferred; other relevant experience will be considered.
  • Advanced Level with all Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills required; Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to “Tell a story” with your data.

Bonus points if you’ve got:

  • Advanced Analytics Software Skills; Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI, Cognos and Tableau Experience
  • 1-2 Years of SQL experience.
