As a Lab Assistant, you will be in an entry level laboratory role, receive on the job training to support laboratory healthcare professionals and prepares specimens for processing.

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (flexible)

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

• Accession in-coming specimens
• Label aliquot tubes
• Prepare aliquot specimens
• Post-amp daily decontamination
• Unpack supplies and replenish bench working supplies
• Dispose of trash
• Dispose of biomedical trash
• Dispose of hazardous waste in appropriate receptacle
• Prepare HPV aliquots from PAP vials
• Perform basic centrifugation of pre-extraction specimens

All you need is:

• AA or BS degree, with college credits in the biological sciences
• Minimum of 6 months data entry and 1 year of practical laboratory experience
• Successful completion of a visual color discrimination test
