Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the building and grounds. Coordinates and schedules vendor and professional trades for repairs and facility improvements. Responsible for warehouse inventory orders, office supply orders, stocking and managing inventory levels.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directs, coordinates, and plans essential central services, such as security, cleaning D.I. water systems, pest control, biohazard waste, refuse disposal, dry ice and liquid nitrogen deliveries.
  • Completes supply orders for warehouse inventory and receives all departmental deliveries at warehouse dock.
  • Maintains upkeep of buildings and grounds.
  • Interacts with variety of vendors; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general housekeeping.
  • Completes documentation related to facility procedures in accordance with organizational SOPs in support of accreditation standards
  • Coordinates improvements and remodeling of facilities
  • Receives, stocks, rotates, and enters all packing lists into ProcureIT
  • Ships and receives packages to clients and affiliate organizations
  • Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
  • Enthusiastically performs miscellaneous duties in the designated time frame.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. Ability to read and write in English. Ability to work without close supervision. Ability to interact in a professional, cordial manner. General knowledge of facility support systems and infrastructure. Display good attention to detail and demonstrate a sense of urgency at all times.

Physical Requirements:

Requires physical effort (life/carry up to 80 lbs); pulling and pushing of objects, occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching; must be able to hear, see, and respond adequately; use of hands and fingers; frequent prolonged standing. May be required to work under extremely stressful conditions with time constraints and crisis situations. May work on ladders and outdoors.

Work Conditions:

Works in a temperature controlled environment with possible exposure to biological and chemical hazards. May be required to operate fire and safety equipment or follow other safety procedures in emergency situations.
