LOCATION: 250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801

HOURS: 8:00pm - 4:30am; Monday - Friday with alternating Saturdays

FULL TIME: benefits eligible

In this role, you will:

• Lead laboratory operations in Specimen Processing with a focus on identifying areas of opportunity and implementing action plans

• Ensure that work is distributed properly to accessioning staff

• Oversee training of new staff

• Manage performance of staff

• Ensure work is completed and workflow is managed consistently

• Handle and address specimen problems

• Ensure specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory’s procedure for specimen handling and processing

• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety

All you need is:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous Lab or Accessioning experience

• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills

• Strong time management, judgement and decision making skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision

• A minimum 1 year previous supervisory experience, preferred

Salary Range: $58,500.00 to $65,000.00 (depending on experience). Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
