Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Clinical Operations to join our team as we continue to expand Nest’s reach to families. The Director of Clinical Operations will help to lead the work being done across the following domains of the organization: Practice Operations, Outreach and Engagement, Clinical Learning and Development, IDT/Care Model Design, and Strategic Operations/Product. The focus of this role will be documenting processes, proactively identifying risks, and developing strategies to address them. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of clinical processes, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance principles, coupled with strong leadership and analytical skills.
What You’ll Do
Process Documentation:
· Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of all clinical processes, protocols, and workflows.
· Ensure that documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize processes and streamline workflows for efficiency and compliance.
Risk Identification and Mitigation:
· Conduct thorough assessments of clinical operations to identify potential risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities for efficiencies.
· Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified issues and prevent future occurrences.
· Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to proactively detect deviations and mitigate risks in a timely manner.
Strategic Planning and Development:
· Provide strategic insights and expertise to support the development of scalable clinical operations strategies aligned with organizational goals.
· Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to integrate clinical operations into overall growth strategies and initiatives.
· Identify opportunities for process optimization, resource allocation, and performance improvement to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
· Implement and oversee robust quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of quality and compliance within clinical operations.
· Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
· Provide guidance, training, and support to clinical staff to promote a culture of excellence and accountability.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
· BA/BS degree strongly desired
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical operations management or a related role within the healthcare industry (with startup experience preferred)
· Experience as a consultant a plus, but not required
· Experience with Quality/HEDIS measures a plus, but not required
· Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Calendar; Expert Excel skills strongly preferred
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be personable yet persistent
· Superior reasoning, planning, and time management skills, including the ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously
