As an Associate Scientist at Leash Biosciences, you will be responsible for accurately generating one of the largest drug discovery datasets in the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute weekly experimental execution tasks
- Collaborate closely with senior researchers and scientists to design assay optimization experiments
- Participate in troubleshooting and brainstorming activities with scientists and data scientists to improve the fidelity and value of datasets
- Carefully capture critical data and observations during experiments
- Provide feature suggestions to software engineers
About You
For you to be successful, we’re looking for the following qualifications:
- Bachelors (or beyond) degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or similar field.
- Experience with laboratory workflows involving PCR, NGS, protein-expression and purification. Experience with standard protein analysis techniques, enzymatic activity assays, and DNA encoded library screening or high-throughput protein expression/purification preferred.
- Prior experience with eukaryotic cell culture and maintenance.
- Strong results-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills and a keen interest in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related areas.
- Experience using data analysis tools to answer scientific questions preferred.
- Ability to work full-time on-site and availability for occasional weekend/holiday work for cell maintenance.
