About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer who will take ownership of quality across our mobile applications and backend services. This role spans REST API testing, mobile app validation (iOS & Android), and automation — ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability and usability.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in both app and API testing, can build and maintain automation frameworks, and collaborates effectively with Product and Engineering teams to embed quality throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to understand software requirements and develop detailed test cases and test plans.
• Conduct functional, non-functional, smoke, sanity, regression, compatibility, and integration testing across web, iOS, and Android applications and backend services.
• Perform REST API and server-side testing to validate business logic, data integrity, and system behaviour.
• Write and execute automation test cases using tools such as Appium, Selenium, or API automation frameworks, ensuring thorough coverage and efficient execution.
• Take ownership of the automation framework — keeping tests stable, scalable, and reliable across releases.
• Monitor automation execution in CI/CD pipelines, investigate failures, identify root causes, and track defects through to resolution.
• Execute test cases, document results, and raise detailed bug reports with reproduction steps and impact analysis using issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose software issues, working closely with developers to drive timely resolution.
• Participate in defect root cause analysis and contribute proposed solutions and process improvements.
• Validate backend data and understand database relationships to verify API responses and business logic accuracy.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality best practices across the team.
• Continuously learn and apply industry-standard testing methodologies, tools, and practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. / MCA with 2–4 years of experience in software testing.
• Proven experience testing Web, iOS, and Android applications.
• Strong hands-on experience in REST API testing and backend validation.
• Good knowledge of Postman, including collection management, environments, and scripting.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation for backend testing.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, and QA teams.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail).
• High sense of ownership and accountability for product quality.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with API automation frameworks (Newman, Playwright API, or similar).
• Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g. Appium, Selenium, TestNG) and experience writing and maintaining automated test cases.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Datadog
