The Vice President of Sales and Commercial Operations will provide the vision and strategic leadership for the AEL sales and technical operations to deliver profitable revenue growth.

In this role, you will:
- Oversee team hiring, training, development, and management to meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals.
- Manage supervisory personnel in the Sales/Client Service departments
- Achieve sales targets
- Develop account management strategies for product growth
- Design territory alignments, customer targeting, call activity, territory level goals and incentive programs in conjunction with Finance and Division leadership.
- Analyze and report on Sales/Client service team activity, KPIs and other performance metrics.
- Develops corrective action plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the Central Office Market Access team to identify strengths and weaknesses of contracting, reimbursement, and market position strategies within targeted health systems, regional and national payers.
- Monitor market, customer, and competitor insights and trends.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Regional Operations, Lab Operations and Medical teams.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, business reviews and action planning activities.
- Work with marketing and medical and scientific leadership to hone future product and/or service offerings.
- Regularly participates in customer sales calls and in closing strategic account opportunities.
- Oversee key sales employee decisions and activities related to quota setting, incentive plan, commercial reports, staffing, promotions, performance and career management; provides active in-field coaching.
- Work closely with Human Resources and Legal on employee relations issues within the sales organization and customer service organization.
- Prepares adherence to operational budgets and expenses.
- May be requested to perform other duties as assigned.
All you need, is:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- 10+ years with relevant industry experience, preferably with CLIA/LDT industry experience; medical device and or pharmaceutical industry experience considered
- Documented revenue growth within healthcare systems a
- Experience with account planning, opportunity identification, qualification, strategy development, proposal and service delivery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM.
