Job Description: As a Software Tester with 1-2 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our iOS and Android applications. You will collaborate closely with the development team to understand project requirements, design and execute test cases, and report defects. You will also be responsible for writing automation test cases and should possess strong Java coding skills. Being a part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), you will ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and develop detailed test cases and test plans.
• Execute test cases, document test results, and identify, isolate, and report defects using issue tracking systems.
• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to validate software functionality and performance.
• Write and execute automation test cases, ensuring thorough test coverage and efficient execution.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose software issues, providing detailed bug reports and working with the team to resolve issues.
• Participate in the analysis of test results, contribute to defect root cause analysis, and propose solutions.
• Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry-standard testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
• Contribute to the improvement of the testing process and the implementation of quality assurance best practices.
• High attention to detail to identify even the smallest defects and inconsistencies.
• Conduct smoke, functional, regression, sanity, and acceptance testing to validate software functionality and performance.
  
  

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MCA with 1-2 years of experience in software testing.
• Proven experience in testing iOS and Android applications.
• Experience in writing and executing automation test cases.
• Strong knowledge of Java coding.
• Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) and scripting.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for ensuring software quality.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, TestRail)
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of API testing.
• Experience in iOS and Android app testing.
• Automation test case writing experience is a plus
• Java coding knowledge.
• Understanding and involvement in the SDLC.
• Having relevant certifications, such as ISTQB Certified Tester or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), is a plus.
